FAIRFAX, VA – Darnell Washington of TelePort Vision and Steve Surfaro of Axis Communications discuss a recent breach of surveillance cameras used by law enforcement, and chain of custody and protection requirements.
They unveil the new technology developed by TelePort Vision known as Credentialed High Assurance Video Encryption, (CHAVE), and how it protects live and archived video streams from being viewed or manipulated by unauthorized sources. In the video, they discuss standards, privacy issues, and the end to end security characteristics of local and cloud hosted infrastructures.
Darnell Washington won the “Technology Innovation” award at the ninth annual Spirit of Endeavor Awards hosted by TechAmerica Georgia and the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). The Spirit of Endeavor Awards recognize and celebrate innovative technology companies and individuals in Georgia that drive new ideas, invigorate the community and lead people through technology.
Washington was selected as a winner in the “Technology Innovation” category because of his successful productization of a next generation application known as TelePort Vision, which provides strong multi-factor authentication and encryption to video security systems used by the US Department of Homeland Security, for law enforcement and public safety applications.
“Darnell is a great example of the types of Georgia innovators behind some of the most game-changing technology developments in the U.S. today,” said Tino Mantella, president and CEO for the Technology Association of Georgia and TechAmerica Georgia. “We believe these companies and their leaders deserve to be recognized for the impact they are having on their respective industries and Georgia’s technology community. And we are proud to offer that recognition through our Spirit of Endeavor awards.”
